Ji Chang Wook Stars in “The Manipulated,” Disney+’s Gripping New Revenge Thriller

Ji Chang Wook stars in “The Manipulated”, a thrilling Disney+ revenge drama filled with pain, justice, and redemption. Premieres November 5 worldwide.

In “The Manipulated,” Ji Chang Wook takes on the role of Park Tae Joong, an ordinary man whose life turns into a nightmare after he is wrongfully accused of a brutal crime.

Behind the false accusation lies a cold and calculated plan orchestrated by Yo Han (played by Doh Kyung Soo — better known as D.O. from EXO).

Determined to uncover the truth and reclaim his dignity, Tae Joong embarks on a dark journey of vengeance and self-destruction, fighting against the powerful forces that ruined his life.

The promotional stills reveal a haunting contrast between his former peaceful life — defined by his dream of opening a small garden café — and the cold, hardened gaze of a man who has lost everything. His emotional transformation stands at the very heart of the story.

Ji Chang Wook Delivers a Powerful Performance

Known for his roles in “Healer” and “The Worst of Evil,” Ji Chang Wook once again delivers a captivating and emotional performance.

“Tae Joong is a man who seeks one thing only: revenge. I tried to show, step by step, how his pain shapes his strength and determination,” said Ji Chang Wook.

Director Park Shin Woo praised the actor’s intensity and depth, stating:

“Ji Chang Wook brought incredible emotional gravity to this role. I believe one day we’ll say he’s become a genre of his own in K-dramas.”

Disney+ Premiere

With sophisticated direction, an emotionally charged script, and relentless twists, The Manipulated is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated K-dramas of the year.

The series premieres November 5 on Disney+, launching with the first four episodes and new installments released weekly until all 12 episodes are available.
