The drama will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook, known for projects like King the Land, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage, and Life. The script comes from Yoo Young Ah, the acclaimed writer behind Thirty-Nine and Divorce Attorney Shin.
“Waiting for Gyeongdo” is set to be a fun and emotional romantic comedy. The story revolves around two ex-lovers, Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo, who fell in love in their twenties but later parted ways. Years later, fate brings them back together in unexpected situations, leading to a series of humorous and heartfelt events. Park Seo Joon plays Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter for the Dongwoon Ilbo newspaper. A practical and ordinary man, his life takes a chaotic turn when he crosses paths with his ex-girlfriend, Seo Ji Woo, amidst a scandal involving her husband. Their reunion stirs up old feelings, offering a delightful mix of humor, reflection, and romance.
