For those missing Seo Ye Ji in leading roles — especially after her standout performances in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and Eve — there’s good news on the horizon. The actress is currently in talks to return to the small screen in a dark and intriguing new project: the suspense drama Forest of Humans, based on a webtoon.
On May 8, a Korean media outlet reported that Seo Ye Ji is being considered for the lead role in Forest of Humans, a new horror-thriller drama. Shortly after, her agency, SUBLIME, confirmed that she received the offer and is currently reviewing the role.
This potential comeback is highly anticipated by fans, as Seo Ye Ji has been away from dramas since Eve, which aired in 2022. Since then, she made a brief appearance as a host on SNL Korea Season 7 in April, reigniting public excitement for her return to acting.

Based on a webtoon, Forest of Humans promises a dark, intense storyline centered around violence and death within a facility that houses psychopathic killers. These individuals are gathered for an experiment, but everything descends into chaos when the facility collapses.
The drama is aimed at a mature audience and is currently in negotiations to be released on an OTT (streaming) platform. However, the specific platform has yet to be confirmed.
Seo Ye Ji is a natural fit for such a role. She has previously showcased her talent in emotionally complex characters, most notably as Ko Moon Young in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. With her powerful screen presence, she seems poised to deliver another unforgettable performance.
Seo Ye Ji’s potential role in Forest of Humans is generating buzz among fans and the Korean entertainment industry alike. After a period away from the spotlight, her return in a psychological horror drama could mark a new chapter in her career — and may become one of the most talked-about releases of the year if confirmed.
