The wait is finally over for Squid Game fans! Netflix has officially announced that the highly anticipated third season will premiere on June 27, and they’ve already released a new poster, trailer, and exclusive photos offering a glimpse of what’s to come. If you thought the previous games were brutal, get ready for an even more intense journey filled with twists and turns.
Squid Game Season 3 picks up the story with Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), now more determined than ever. After losing his best friend Jung Bae and failing in his attempt to bring the game down, Gi Hun returns to the battlefield seeking revenge and personal justice. The new poster shows Gi Hun standing among coffins tied with pink ribbons, a haunting symbol of his pain and fury.
The mysterious Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), who previously kept his identity hidden, is also back and is set to play a crucial role in this new phase of the games. Recently released images hint at an upcoming showdown between him and Gi Hun — a confrontation fans have been eagerly waiting for.
In the trailer, masked guards are seen carrying a coffin into the dormitory while an ironically cheerful song plays in the background, intensifying the suspense. Shockingly, Gi Hun is revealed to be inside the coffin, eyes opening dramatically — leading us straight into the beginning of Squid Game Season 3.
Among the new players are Myung Gi (Yim Si Wan), Dae Ho (Kang Ha Neul), Hyun Ju (Park Sung Hoon), Geum Ja (Kang Ae Shim), Jun Hee (Jo Yu Ri) — a pregnant contestant stirring up fan theories — and No Eul (Park Gyu Young), who appears unmasked, suggesting a break from the rules of the game.
One of the trailer’s most striking moments is the sound of a baby crying, sparking speculation about a major twist involving Jun Hee. Meanwhile, a banquet being prepared for the VIPs suggests that the end of the game may be near — and every round is more dangerous than the last.
Jun Ho (Wi Ha Joon), who was absent in Season 2, returns in search of the truth. He’s seen walking along a beach carrying an oxygen tank, indicating he may have finally discovered the island’s location. Still, his fate remains uncertain.
Squid Game Season 3 premieres on June 27, exclusively on Netflix. Fans can expect more drama, more action, and of course, more deadly games.
