The wait is over! The hit series Taxi Driver is returning for its third season. Fans of the show can rejoice as SBS has officially confirmed that Taxi Driver 3 will premiere in the second half of 2025.
On February 6, SBS announced that the new season of Taxi Driver is officially confirmed and is set to premiere in the second half of 2025. This exciting news has sparked great anticipation among fans, as the series gained immense popularity in its previous seasons.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, Taxi Driver follows a secret taxi service that seeks justice for victims who were failed by the legal system. With an engaging storyline full of action and revenge, the series has become a fan favorite.
One of the best pieces of news for fans is that the entire main cast of Taxi Driver will return for the new season. Lee Je Hoon reprises his role as Kim Do Gi, the skilled driver leading the Rainbow Taxi team. Kim Eui Sung returns as Jang Sung Cheol, the strong and determined leader of the group.
Pyo Ye Jin will once again play Ahn Go Eun, the team’s brilliant hacker. Additionally, Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram return as Choi Kyung Goo and Park Jin Uhn, the ingenious engineers who ensure the taxis are always ready for action.
Before the end of the second season, Lee Je Hoon had already expressed his desire to continue with the series, stating: “I would love to create another story with this family.” With this confirmation and the return of the cast, the chemistry between the characters promises to be one of the highlights of the upcoming season.
Season 3 will feature the return of writer Oh Sang Ho, who was responsible for the scripts of the previous seasons. He will be joined by director Kang Bo Seung, who previously worked as a co-director on Dr. Romantic 3. Expectations are high for the new season to maintain the signature elements of its predecessors while delivering an even more thrilling and engaging storyline.
Producers have assured fans that Taxi Driver 3 will continue to expand its universe, introducing new stories and showcasing innovative ways in which the Rainbow Taxi team delivers justice.
