According to legends, the Imugi lives for a thousand years in water before transforming into a dragon upon acquiring a yeouiju (magical jewel). This mix of mythology and romance promises to captivate viewers.
Yook Sungjae plays Yoon Gap, a kind and highly intelligent noble who ends up possessed by the evil spirit Imugi, Gang Cheol Yi. After this transformation, he exudes an eccentric charm and an aura of absolute supremacy, becoming a central figure in the plot.
Bona takes on the role of Yeo Ri, the granddaughter of a renowned shaman. Despite possessing impressive spiritual abilities, she rejects her destiny as a shaman and chooses to live as a skilled artisan, crafting glasses. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled in the palace’s mysteries.
Kim Ji Hoon portrays King Yi Jeong, a just and wise ruler who prioritizes his people above all else. He strictly enforces laws and bans shamans from the palace. However, when supernatural events threaten the royal court, he is forced to join forces with Yoon Gap and Yeo Ri to fight a deadly battle against the Eight Feet Tall demon and save his kingdom.
The premiere of “The Haunted Palace” is scheduled for April 18, 2025, and the drama will be broadcast on SBS. For international fans, the series will be available with subtitles on Viki.
