Synopsis of The WONDERfools

Directed by Yoo In Shik, known for Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and written by Heo Da Joong, of Extreme Job, The WONDERfools is set in 1999, a time filled with fears of the world’s end.

The series follows a group of Haeseong residents who unexpectedly gain superpowers. However, these powers bring more challenges than benefits, leading them into a series of comedic and chaotic events. Despite their newfound abilities, the characters struggle to tackle the local villains while trying to maintain peace in their town.

The WONDERfools’ Star-Studded Cast

Park Eun Bin stars as Eun Chae Ni, nicknamed the “disaster” of Haeseong. Charismatic and humorous, Chae Ni’s life turns upside down as she acquires unexpected superpowers, getting involved in both comedic and dramatic events.

Cha Eun Woo takes on the role of Lee Woon Jung, a reserved civil servant working in Haeseong. Although he’s strict about rules, he joins Chae Ni’s mission, intrigued by the strange disappearances happening around town.

Kim Hae Sook plays Kim Jeon Bok, Chae Ni’s grandmother and the owner of a popular restaurant in Haeseong. Her mysterious past captivates not only the residents but also the viewers.

Choi Dae Hoon portrays Son Kyung Hoon, a well-known troublemaker who, along with Kang Robin (played by Im Sung Jae), teams up with Chae Ni to battle the town’s villains. The comedic interaction between Kyung Hoon and Robin brings a fun, lighthearted dynamic to the story.
