For K-drama fans, Netflix is releasing a new thriller filled with suspense and mystery! When the Phone Rings lands on the platform on November 22, promising a story that blends romance, threats, and dark secrets. This drama, based on a popular web novel, presents a complex arranged marriage between Baek Sa Eon, played by Yoo Yeon Seok, and Hong Hee Joo, portrayed by Chae Soo Bin.
The storyline revolves around Baek Sa Eon and Hong Hee Joo, a couple who marry for political and professional interests. Baek Sa Eon is the youngest spokesperson for the Blue House, and Hong Hee Joo, a sign language interpreter. Both play important roles within their influential families, maintaining a distant and purely professional relationship.
Everything changes after Sa Eon receives a mysterious call claiming Hee Joo has been kidnapped. Their loveless marriage begins to transform, revealing hidden feelings and a strong protective instinct.
The cast also includes Heo Nam Jun and Jang Gyuri. Heo Nam Jun, known from Sweet Home, plays Ji Sang Woo, a psychiatrist and content creator, while Jang Gyuri, from The Player 2, portrays Na Yu Ri, a confident journalist determined to uncover mysteries.
