“Pro Bono” is Netflix’s newest legal K-drama, bringing a mix of chaos, sharp humor, and an emotionally charged journey.
The story follows Kang David, a former judge obsessed with status and material success who, after an unexpected downfall in his career, is forced to work in an overlooked pro bono team inside one of the country’s biggest law firms — a team that brings no profit, prestige, or advantages.
From there, the drama explores not only legal cases but, above all, the human transformation of a man who always put success above everything else.

He also shared that he worked meticulously on details such as tone of voice, expressions, and even breathing to portray the character’s evolution throughout the series.
In a humorous tone, he admitted that he and Kang David don’t have much in common — especially the part about “not being a very pleasant person.”
