The wave of exciting K-drama premieres continues with The Divorce Insurance, a new Korean drama starring Lee Dong Wook. Blending comedy and romance, this story promises to entertain and move audiences with a unique take on marriage and divorce.
The Divorce Insurance is a workplace romantic comedy that follows Noh Ki Jun (Lee Dong Wook), an insurance actuary working in the innovative product development team at Plus Insurance. After experiencing three divorces, he decides to create a “divorce insurance” plan, allowing couples to have financial protection in case their marriage ends.
Noh Ki Jun is an expert in actuarial calculations who, despite his professional success, has gone through three consecutive divorces. Convinced that divorce is an unpredictable event in life, he develops an insurance product to help people recover financially after the end of a marriage.
Kang Han Deul is an insurance underwriter who has also recently gone through a divorce. Determined to start over, she joins Ki Jun’s team, bringing a bright and unique perspective to the workplace. Her relationship with Ki Jun becomes a central focus of the drama.
Ahn Jeon Man is a risk inspector who values stability above all else. Despite trying to appear confident, he is actually quite shy. Working with divorce insurance forces him out of his comfort zone, leading him on the biggest adventure of his life.
Jeon Na Rae is a financial mathematician who views the world purely as an investment opportunity. Cold and calculating, she initially sees divorce insurance as nothing more than a business strategy. However, as the story progresses, her outlook on life begins to change.
The first poster for The Divorce Insurance has been released, creating excitement among fans. It features the four main characters dressed elegantly, holding signs that read: “Anyone—married, remarried, single, or divorced—can get coverage!” Noh Ki Jun’s confident expression and the determined presence of his team further pique curiosity about the mission behind divorce insurance and its impact on people’s lives.
The drama will be available on Prime Video, with its premiere set for March 31, 2025.
